CC Equestrian LLP runs a riding school at Harburnhead in West Calder, set in the central belt of Scotland. The school provides private, semi-private and group riding lessons alongside hacks, giving regular riders a structured programme to develop their skills and giving complete beginners a calm environment to learn the basics.
The school teaches children as well as adults, with smaller ponies available for younger or less confident riders. Lessons cover dressage work for those wanting to refine their flatwork, hacking for riders who prefer time out on the trails, and showing for those interested in turnout and presentation. Group lessons start from GBP 28 for a 30 minute session.
Alongside the ridden work, CC Equestrian LLP offers carriage driving tuition for anyone interested in learning to drive a horse and trap. The team also hosts kids birthday parties at the yard, using the ponies as the centrepiece of the day. Planned therapy pony work using small ponies is in the pipeline for riders who may benefit from a quieter, more supported approach to being around horses.
The yard is based at Harburnhead, West Calder, and operates from modern stables on the site. Opening hours are Monday and Wednesday to Friday from 10:00 to 19:00, Saturday from 09:00 to 17:00, with the school closed on Tuesdays and Sundays. Anyone interested in booking lessons, hacking, a driving session or a party can get in touch directly with the school for availability.
