Wimbledon Village Stables is a British Horse Society 5-star approved riding club and livery yard located in Wimbledon, in the London Borough of Merton, with the postcode SW19 5DX. The yard focuses on experienced adult riders, offering riding lessons, hacking and dressage events in a setting that is unusual for a busy capital.
Riders can take lessons with qualified BHS instructors, work through dressage tests and schooling routines, or head out on accompanied hacks. Hacking routes run out onto Wimbledon Common and on to Richmond Park, giving access to extensive off-road riding without leaving the city. The common is also home to a sand arena and two schooling rings, one of which is laid out with show jumps, supporting training in jumping, flatwork and eventing-style work. A horse simulator (equicise) is available on site, and the club also runs children's simulator sessions, horse care courses and intensive riding courses for those looking to build skills over a short period.
Alongside lessons, the yard offers standard and bespoke livery packages, with 24-hour supervision, CCTV and alarm systems in place. Members can book into dressage competitions hosted at the club, take advantage of an on-site gym, and buy gift vouchers for lessons or experiences. Prices for hacking start from GBP 105 for a Level 4 to 6 hack, with membership required for the majority of services.
Disciplines covered include dressage, show jumping, eventing and hacking. The office is open from 08.45 to 12.45, Tuesday to Sunday, and closed on Mondays. The school is listed on the British Horse Society approved register. Contact details, membership enquiries and booking information are available through the yard directly.
