Stourport Riding Centre sits on 80 acres of countryside close to Stourport-on-Severn in Worcestershire, established in 1991 and still run as a family business. Riders from the age of 4 upwards can take group, semi-private or private lessons, with a 30-minute group lesson starting from GBP 38. Coaches hold ABRS full teaching, BHS registered instructor and UKCC level 2 qualifications, and the centre is a member of the Riding for the Disabled Association.
The centre caters to beginners through to more experienced riders across dressage, show jumping, eventing and showing. Children are well looked after with junior lessons, holiday camps during school breaks and birthday parties that make use of the grounds. Adults can book standard lessons or sign up for the Back in the Saddle refresher course, while an Own a Pony Day gives younger riders a fuller sense of what caring for a horse involves. Riding for the Disabled sessions run on site for those who need supported lessons.
Facilities include the 70x30 metre International Indoor Arena, the 40x20 metre Poollands Indoor Arena, both floodlit, and an outdoor sand school with a judges box for competition days. Grey's Cafe and the Cabin meeting room provide indoor space, and a viewing gallery lets visitors watch lessons and events from above. Day stabling is offered for horses visiting the centre, and the outdoor arena, judges box and on-site licence from Wychavon District Council allow the team to host a full calendar of competitions.
The centre is open Monday to Friday from 9:00 until 18:00 and on Saturdays from 9:00 until 18:00. Arena hire, gift vouchers and details of upcoming competitions and holiday events are all available directly from the centre, which lies within easy reach of Kidderminster and the wider West Midlands.
