Ravenroyd Equestrian operates as the West Yorkshire venue for Liana Upton and the Sit Well Method, focusing on classical riding taught in the Ecole de Legerete tradition. Tuition is delivered through private lessons and clinics, with sessions available in classical riding, dressage, in-hand work and lunging. Riders work on the flat with an emphasis on correct posture, suppleness and balance, drawing on classical principles rather than purely competitive disciplines.
The school caters to adults and older riders who want structured, one-to-one or small-group coaching. Off-horse exercise programmes are offered alongside mounted work, and rider biomechanics coaching forms a core part of the approach. A riding simulator is available for seat training, allowing riders to develop their position without a horse. Simulator sessions start from GBP 50 for a 30 minute booking, with mounted private lessons priced separately.
The outdoor arena measures 40m x 30m, giving enough space for schooling figures, lateral work and longer sessions in the open air. Parking is available on site, and the simulator training area is housed separately from the main arena. The setting in Bingley, on the edge of the Bradford district, places the venue within easy reach of other parts of West Yorkshire while retaining a quiet, rural feel.
Ravenroyd Equestrian holds BHS AI (Approved Instructor) status, and Liana Upton is a licensed teacher within the Ecole de Legerete network. Riders and owners interested in lessons, clinics or simulator sessions are asked to contact the school directly to discuss availability, lesson content and booking. The postcode BD16 2DL is provided for visitors planning their route to the venue.
