Millfarm Riding School is a five star registered centre on the outskirts of Stockport, catering to riders aged four and over. Instruction covers beginners through to more established riders, with group, semi-private and private lessons all available. Children can take part in school holiday pony days, and birthday parties with the ponies are offered as a separate package. Prices start from GBP 23 for a thirty minute group lesson.
The school runs across a range of disciplines, including dressage, show jumping, cross country and hacking, with treks out from the yard for those who want to explore the surrounding countryside. Riders are taught on the outdoor arena, a 25m by 48m school that sits alongside a second outdoor school, giving plenty of space for flatwork and jumping practice. A jumping paddock is also on site, and a horse walker and solarium support the care of the working horses.
Millfarm is set up as a full livery yard as well as a teaching centre. DIY, full and working livery options are on offer, and the stables house the school horses alongside liveries. Facilities for clients include a shower room for horses, parking on site and the usual yard amenities expected of a working equestrian centre.
The yard sits in the SK7 postcode area of Stockport, within the North West of England, and holds a current licence. Opening hours run from 9:00 am to 7:30 pm on weekdays and from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm on Saturdays and Sundays. Contact details and the latest lesson and livery availability can be obtained directly from the school.
