Lowlands Equestrian Centre operates from Shrewley in Warwickshire, close to Warwick, and is recognised as one of the larger equestrian venues in the West Midlands. The centre runs a full programme of riding lessons alongside hacking, arena hire and regular competition events. Set within an established and well-resourced site, it caters to riders across multiple disciplines including dressage, show jumping, cross country and general hacking.
Riders of all ages and abilities are welcome, with particular provision made for beginners and children taking their first lessons. Group and shared lessons start from GBP 32 for a 30 minute session, giving newcomers an accessible entry point into regular riding. More experienced riders can make use of cross country schooling over poly XC fences, practice in dressage arenas with mirrors, or school showjumps set out on the showjumping surface. Loan a pony days and structured training events broaden what is on offer beyond the standard lesson timetable.
The centre is home to the National Office of the Riding for the Disabled Association (RDA), reflecting its long-standing commitment to accessible riding. A hydraulic lift, accessible facilities and a gallery classroom support RDA sessions, training and volunteer days. Riders benefit from both an indoor arena and an outdoor arena, a mechanical horse for groundwork and simulator training, and a judge box for hosted competitions. The venue holds a current riding school licence and is listed on the BHS Approved register.
