Laurel View Equestrian Centre

Laurel View Equestrian Centre operates as a riding school, livery yard and competition venue on the outskirts of Templepatrick in County Antrim, within the Ballyclare area of Antrim and Newtownabbey. The centre holds approved status on the British Horse Society register and also functions as a Pony Club centre, an RDA centre and a BHS training and assessment centre. Lessons are open to beginners and children, with group lead rein sessions starting from GBP 29 per 30 minute session.

The school teaches dressage, show jumping and cross country, and pupils can progress through BHS training and assessment on site. Riders who want a competitive outlet have access to regular dressage competitions and competition photography is offered. The Pony Club branch runs from the centre, providing a structured route for younger riders to develop their horsemanship and take part in team activities.

Facilities include two indoor arenas, one measuring 54m by 24m and a larger 60m by 28m arena with a viewing gallery, as well as an outdoor all weather arena of 70m by 70m and a grass arena of 100m by 70m. A cross country course with schooling fences, timber show jumps, a horse walker, indoor stabling and a tack shop are also on site. A cafe and a schooling playground add to the visitor experience, and the centre is accessible to riders with additional needs through its RDA membership.

Livery is available alongside lessons, giving owners the option to keep their horses at the centre full time. Facility hire is offered for those wanting to book arenas or the cross country course. The centre is located in Templepatrick, Co. Antrim, BT39 0BX, and visitors travel from Ballyclare and across the Newtownabbey area. Contact details can be found through the centre's website for lesson bookings, livery enquiries, competition entries and Pony Club membership.
