Set in the Swansea valley, Green Farm Riding Stables is a family-owned centre catering to riders from complete beginners through to more experienced competitors. Lessons run throughout the week and are tailored to age and ability, with group sessions for children starting from GBP 28 for a 45 minute lesson. Private mentoring is available for riders who want one to one input, and the school covers stable management alongside ridden work in hacking, pony trekking and show jumping.
The stables run a children's Pony Club and are experienced in working with young riders, including those with additional needs. SEN friendly lessons are part of the regular programme, and the centre offers horse riding for the disabled, making it accessible to a wider range of participants. Hacking and pony trekking take advantage of the surrounding valley terrain, giving riders a chance to build confidence and pace over open ground rather than solely in an arena.
Beyond lessons, the yard provides full livery services for owners who want their horse kept on site, and hosts children's birthday parties that include riding and pony activities. The team holds BHS qualifications including BHS II and a BHS Stage 4 Event Coach award, and stable management is taught alongside the ridden disciplines on offer.
Green Farm Riding Stables is open Monday to Friday from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm and on weekends from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.
