Edinburgh and Lasswade Riding Centre

Edinburgh and Lasswade Riding Centre operates as an ABRS-approved riding school and livery yard in Lasswade, Midlothian. Lessons are available from toddlers aged two upwards, with the teaching programme covering hacking, flatwork, jumping and showing. Private and group riding lessons run alongside stable management sessions, allowing pupils to learn about horse care as well as ridden work. The centre runs an established Pony Club branch and offers own-a-pony days plus pony camps during the school holidays for younger riders.

Beginners are welcomed alongside more experienced riders, and the centre caters for children and adults alike. Hacks are offered across off-road routes, giving riders a chance to take their schooling out of the arena. Holiday camps and birthday parties make the centre a popular choice for families looking for pony-themed activities, while loan ponies allow those without their own horse to experience regular riding. Sales livery is also available for owners wishing to market their horses from the yard.

The facilities include a floodlit all-weather menage and a floodlit all-weather round pen, both allowing year-round riding regardless of Scottish weather. Stables are fitted with private tack rooms, and riders benefit from the centre's seven-day opening hours. Coaching covers own-horse sessions as well as centre-based lessons, and breaking and schooling livery is offered for horses needing structured training.

Livery clients can choose from DIY, part and full livery options, with holiday livery also available for owners going away. The centre holds ABRS approval for both its riding school and its livery yard and operates as a licensed premises.
