Coleg Gwent Equestrian Centre

Coleg Gwent Equestrian Centre operates from the Usk Campus of Coleg Gwent in Monmouthshire, serving riders across South Wales and the borders. The centre is listed on the British Horse Society approved register and provides facilities for dressage, show jumping and cross country work, along with equine courses run through the college.

The site features two substantial arenas. The indoor arena measures 54m x 30m, giving an all-weather space for schooling and competitions, while the 40m x 60m outdoor arena hosts regular unaffiliated dressage and show jumping events throughout the year. Riders working on cross country skills have access to a set of portable arena cross country fences that can be configured on the outdoor arena.

Hiring the arenas is open to individuals and groups, with the outdoor arena available from GBP 30 per hour. Arena hire runs Monday to Thursday from 4:30pm to 8pm, Friday from 4:30pm to 5:30pm, and across the weekend from 8am to 5pm. The stables on site are modern and well maintained, and a classroom is available for the taught elements of equine courses. Riders and trainers bringing their own horses will find show jumps and a full set of training equipment already in place.
