Pickering Grange Equestrian operates from Clements End Farm and holds BHS approved centre status. Set within the National Forest close to Ellistown in Leicestershire, the site combines a working livery yard with a competition centre used by riders from across Central Bedfordshire and the wider East of England.
The yard provides full livery, competition livery and retirement livery, with stabling arranged in an American barn layout. Riders have access to hacking out in the surrounding forest as well as a cross country area, a floodlit horse walker and a hot water washdown. A cafe and licensed bar are on site for those spending the day at the venue, and a classroom supports the training clinics run throughout the year.
Lessons cover beginners and children, and the school hosts birthday parties for groups wanting an equestrian themed day out. Disciplines taught and competed include show jumping, dressage, eventing, arena eventing, combined training, cross country and showing. Regular shows and competitions are held across the multiple arenas, alongside training clinics for those looking to sharpen a specific skill.
Facilities include an indoor arena and an outdoor arena, both usable in poor weather, plus floodlighting for evening sessions. A lunge and free school arena and judges boxes support the competition side of the business, and parking is available on site. The centre is accessible and open daily from 8am to 9pm.
