Bowlings Riding Centre sits in Haverfordwest, Pembrokeshire, and operates as a family-run British Horse Society Approved Centre catering to riders of all ages and abilities. The centre runs a structured programme of riding lessons alongside hacking opportunities and a cross country course, giving riders a varied experience of working with horses. It also functions as the Pony Club Centre for the local area and serves as the Riding for the Disabled Association Centre for Pembrokeshire, making it a well established hub for equestrian activity in west Wales.
The centre welcomes complete beginners as well as more experienced riders, and offers lessons specifically aimed at children. Holiday camps and own a pony days provide additional ways for younger riders to spend time around horses outside of regular lessons. For those who do not own their own horse, full livery is available on site. The team also partners with Pembrokeshire College to deliver horse care courses, supporting students working towards equestrian qualifications.
Facilities include a 20x40 indoor arena with overhead lights, a floodlit outdoor sand school and a cross country course, which together allow lessons to continue in most weather conditions and during darker months. On-site stabling accommodates both the school's horses and liveries. The accessible setup supports RDA sessions, allowing riders with additional needs to take part in lessons at the centre.
Opening hours are Monday and Tuesday 8.30am to 4.30pm, Wednesday and Thursday 8.30am to 7pm, Friday 8.30am to 4.30pm, and Saturday 8.30am to 4.30pm. The centre is closed for lessons on Sunday. The postcode is SA62 4DB, and enquiries can be made directly through the centre to discuss lessons, livery, Pony Club membership or RDA sessions.
