Bowdens Riding School has been running lessons in Chiselborough, Somerset for adults and children of all abilities from age four upwards. Riders can choose group or one-to-one sessions in dressage, show jumping, hacking, showing and hunting, with beginners catered for alongside more experienced riders. Instructors work through the basics for those new to the saddle and refine technique for established riders across multiple disciplines.
Livery is available in both full and part formats, supported by on-site stabling, tack storage and a number of paddocks for turnout. The outdoor school measures 30 by 60 metres and provides the main teaching space for flatwork and jumping. The school is also a Pony Club Centre, giving younger riders the chance to work through Pony Club tests and take part in rallies, and hosts a Bridles and Breeches adult riders club for those wanting a more social way to ride.
Holiday activities run during school breaks, covering stable management alongside ridden sessions. Hackers can take advantage of escorted hacks and pub rides, with occasional beach rides arranged for groups wanting to venture further. Clinics are scheduled through the year for riders looking to focus on a particular discipline or gain new skills with visiting trainers.
