Bourne Vale Stables

Aldridge, Walsall

BHS approved

Bourne Vale Stables has been teaching riders in Aldridge since 1962, making it one of the longest established riding schools in the West Midlands. The school is family run and caters for children from the age of three as well as adult riders. Lessons cover dressage, show jumping and stable management, and the team teaches complete beginners as well as more experienced riders looking to work through the British Horse Society training structure.

The school is an approved British Horse Society centre and holds Pony Club centre status, giving younger riders access to Pony Club activities on site. BHS training is offered alongside regular clinics and corporate events. A Changing Lives through Horses programme is also available, using horse-based learning to support young people who may benefit from a structured, non-classroom environment.

Facilities include both an indoor and an outdoor arena, allowing lessons and Pony Club sessions to continue through poor weather. Holiday camps run during school breaks and Tiny Tots sessions, lasting thirty minutes and aimed at children aged three to five, are priced from GBP 20. A membership programme sits alongside standard pay-as-you-go lessons, so riders can choose a structure that suits their budget and how often they want to ride.

Bourne Vale Stables is licensed by Walsall Council and holds a 5-star DEFRA animal welfare rating and ABRS+ approved riding school status. The office is open from 9.30am to 5pm, Tuesday to Sunday, with lessons taken by appointment. The postcode is WS9 0SQ, and enquiries can be made by contacting the school directly to book a session or to find out more about the current lesson timetable.
