Benridge Riding Centre

Morpeth, Northumberland

BHS approved

Benridge Riding Centre sits just north of Morpeth in Northumberland and operates as a British Horse Society approved facility. The centre runs as a livery yard as well as a riding school, with both full and part livery packages available. Lessons, arena hire and regular clinics are open to riders of all standards and ages, including complete beginners.

Tuition is delivered by BHS and UKCC qualified instructors and covers dressage, hacking and show jumping. Riders looking to compete can take part in the centre's own competitions, while those wanting extra input from external trainers can attend the scheduled clinics. Hacking is available directly from the yard, giving riders a chance to take horses out on local routes without the need to box elsewhere.

The facilities include a floodlit indoor arena and a floodlit outdoor arena, both available for hire as well as for lessons. Riders benefit from a full set of show jumps and a sandpit for working on flatwork and jumping skills. The main stable yard is supported by 20 acres of paddocks for turnout, and a hot shower and solarium are available for the horses. On-site parking makes arrivals straightforward for both liveries and visiting riders.

The centre's postcode is NE61 3SB, placing it a short distance north of Morpeth in North East England. Group lessons with instructor Alastair Parkin start from GBP 35 for a shared 45 minute session, with prices confirmed from 1 April. Contact details can be obtained through the centre's own website. As a BHS approved establishment, Benridge is listed on the British Horse Society approved register.
