Set in the Cotswolds near Stroud, Barton End Stables is a British Horse Society approved equestrian centre catering to riders of every level, from complete beginners taking their first lesson to advanced competitors. Children and adults are both welcomed, with the centre running structured riding lessons alongside hacking, livery services and competition coaching across dressage, show jumping, eventing and cross country.
The site is well equipped for year-round riding, with both an indoor and outdoor arena available, both floodlit for evening use. Riders benefit from Martin Collins surfaces, training mirrors and a lunge pen, and there is a dedicated outdoor jumping arena plus a show jumping paddock for schooling. Off-road hacking is available directly from the yard, and a horse walker and stabling with tack rooms support the full livery service. Other facilities include a cross-country course and a show jumping paddock for those working towards competition goals.
Beyond regular lessons, the centre hosts holiday camps, jumping workshops, pole clinics and saddle clubs, and is a Pony Club link centre. Arena hire is offered to local riders, and pony parties and pony walk outs run on site for younger children, with birthday parties also catered for. The stables are a member of the Riding for the Disabled Association. Prices start from GBP 40 for a half-hour pony walk out for a child.
