Ash Lee Riding Centre

Ash Lee Riding Centre is a BHS Ireland approved centre based in Carricklee, on the outskirts of Strabane in County Tyrone. The centre is listed on the British Horse Society approved register, and tuition is delivered by a BHS Accredited Professional Coach. Lessons are available for beginners as well as more experienced riders, with children welcome to take part.

A broad range of disciplines is taught on site. Riders can work on dressage, show jumping, cross country and hacking across the surrounding countryside. The centre also runs stable management sessions, equine-assisted learning courses, health and wellbeing sessions and pony playtime and pony ride experiences. Groom and lead sessions are offered from GBP 25 for 35 minutes, providing a gentle introduction to handling horses for younger or less confident visitors.

Facilities include both an indoor arena and an outdoor arena, with poly jumps and cross country fences for schooling. Hacking takes place along nearby country roads, and turn out paddocks, stables, a tack room and on site parking support the day to day running of the yard. Full livery is available for those wanting their horse kept at the centre.

Ash Lee hosts the Strabane Branch of Riding for the Disabled, making the centre accessible to riders with additional needs. The postcode for the centre is BT82 9SE. Prospective clients can contact the centre directly for lesson bookings, livery enquiries, RDA sessions and details of the learning with horses courses on offer.
